ISC President, Cheryl Sment, began her career in Nursing in 1987 after graduating from Carroll College. She spent the next 17 years focusing on Emergency Care and critical care transport. While in this role she became involved in multiple injury prevention programs and was President of Safe Kids of SE WI. In the early 1990’s, while raising her son, Steven, she embarked on several entrepreneurial adventures which included subdivision development, home building, and co-owner of a retail franchise as well as pavement and maintenance repair.   Cheryl could be classified as a serial entrepreneur, who has had great success at the many various projects in which she has been involved.

In 1998, Cheryl, with her husband Jeff’s support, started Interstate Sealant & Concrete, Inc (ISC). As CEO and majority owner, she led the company to unbelievable growth over the next 12 years working both as an Nurse in pediatric critical care transport at Children’s Hospital, and as CEO for ISC’s first four years before leaving her nursing position. Today, ISC is just shy of $10 million is sales, which does business across the country at both State and Federal contracting levels.  ISC is a Certified W/DBE in 28 states and employs 44 full time employees and 25 seasonal employees.
